Performance Opportunity at Monrovia Library

A colleague of mine has reached out for an opportunity to play at the Monrovia Library! Read below for details. As always performances are optional and never required at TACO.

Hello awesome musicians,

If you are receiving this email that means you are a part of a group of people who have participated in the Monrovia Library Holiday concert that I volunteer to coordinate for my local library every year.

Believe it or not, it's the 10th year of the Monrovia Library Holiday Sounds concert! If you would like to be a part of this event again for its 10 year anniversary please let me know! I have interested groups but definitely are looking for more acts for this year! I am also open to other groups that you know would be interested in performing.

As you remember, it's not a paid gig, but you do play for a very casual receptive and grateful audience. And it's a perfect way to get you in the Holiday spirit on the first weekend of December. Repertoire can be non-holiday tunes as well as holiday rep, and performances are usually a 40-45 min set preferably with question & answer period or some interactive nature to the performance (sharing a story about yourself, facts about your instrument, Christmas gift gone wrong, etc.)

If you are not able to perform but would still like to come by to support, please do! It's always a great time with an audience full of grateful and supportive people from the Monrovia community.

So far the date is set for 12/7 from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm. Monrovia Library 321 S. Myrtle Ave., Monrovia There is ample free parking surrounding the library

Hope to hear from you soon, whether you can join us or not!
